The resurrection is not only a victory over death; it is God’s final statement that no power of darkness can hold what He has ordained to rise.

When the angel said in Matthew 28:5-6: But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

He was announcing the end of captivity.

  • Fear lost its grip
  • Death lost its sting
  • Hell lost its prisoner
  • Darkness lost its authority

II decree over you that the same God who shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel will arise for you. Every lion’s den where life or the enemy has tried to confine, intimidate, or silence you is broken open now by the power of God. The Lord Almighty delivers you with a mighty hand and bring you out unharmed, unbound, unshaken, and glorified, in Jesus Name, Amen.

The resurrection is the foundation of deliverance.

Deliverance is not just casting out demons – it is bringing people into the freedom purchased by the risen Christ.

This is why Paul cried in Philippians 3:10“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”

He understood that resurrection power is deliverance power.

RESURRECTION POWER BREAKS EVERY GRAVE

Every grave represents:

BondageLimitation
DelayStagnation
CyclesPatterns
Generational captivityInfirmity

But the angel declared, “He is not here.”

Meaning:

You don’t belong in the graveYour destiny does not belong in the grave
Your mind does not belong in the graveYour purpose does not belong in the grave

Deliverance begins when you realise the grave is not your address.

Think of the Locked Door that Opens from the inside – A door locked from the outside traps you. A door locked from the inside can be opened by you.
Resurrection power unlocks you from the inside.

Think of The Phone With a Dead Battery: A dead phone looks useless – until it’s connected to power. Deliverance is not about trying harder, it’s about connecting to resurrection power.

FOUR PLATFORMS WHERE RESURRECTION POWER RELEASES DELIVERANCE

Paul prayed to know this power – not intellectually, but experientially.
Here are the four platforms where this power becomes real.

Platform 1: Believing in Jesus – the Resurrection and the Life

John 11:24–25 – 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”

John 11:25 tells us – “I am the resurrection and the life…”

Deliverance begins with identity – not the identity of the believer, but the identity of the One who delivers.

When you believe in Jesus:

Chains breakDarkness lifts
Curses lose powerDemons lose legal ground
Death loses its voiceVictory over sickness and all demonic/ancestral yokes

Dear friend; Faith is the doorway to deliverance.

Platform 2: Understanding the Implications of the Resurrection

Many Christians are saved but not free because they do not understand what the resurrection accomplished.

  1. Justification breaks the accusation of the enemy: – Romans 4:25 – “who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. He was raised for our justification. His resurrection is the divine receipt that our sins are fully paid and the enemy cannot condemn what God has justified.
  2. New identity breaks generational bondage: – Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” We are no longer defined by our past, failures, or weaknesses. You are no longer tied to the patterns of your bloodline.
  3. Freedom from sin breaks internal captivity: Romans 6:9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.” If death has no dominion over Him, sin has no dominion over those in Him.
  4. The Spirit empowers deliverance: – Romans 8:11 – 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.” The same power that raised Christ now energises the believer.

Dear friend; Deliverance is not external help, it is internal power.

Platform 3: Walking in Newness of Life: Breaking Old Cycles

Resurrection power is not only something we believe; it is something we walk in.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Deliverance is not complete until your walk changes.

Resurrection power breaks:

Old habitsOld addictions
Old mindsetsOld emotional patterns
Old spiritual cyclesOld bondage to sin

Dear friend, Deliverance is not just coming out – it is walking out.

Resurrection power is not just for salvation – it is for transformation.

It is the divine enablement to live above sin, fear, shame, and spiritual stagnation.

Think of the Caterpillar and the Butterfly – Transformation looks impossible until it happens. Resurrection power changes us from the inside out.

Think of The Butterfly Breaking the Cocoon – The cocoon is tight, restrictive, dark – but necessary. Deliverance is the moment you break out of what once held you.

Platform 4: Living With Eternal Hope: Breaking the Spirit of Despair

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

Hopelessness is a prison.

Despair is a chain.

Weariness is a grave.

But resurrection power releases:

HopeStrength
JoyPurpose
VisionRestoration

Dear friend, Divine Deliverance restores hope.

Altar call: For anyone reading this article who is not saved and wants to be part of the family of God or you want to re-dedicate your life back to Jesus, please repeat this out loud. “Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my old ways and ask You to forgive me. Come into my heart, be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me live for You. Thank You for saving me, in Jesus Name. Amen

Prayer Declaration: Old habits, lose your grip over my life now. Old mindsets are renewed by the Word of God. Old cycles of ungodly behaviours and sinful desires are broken now by the blood of Jesus. My old identities are replaced with kingdom identity, in Jesus Name. Amen
