Text: Luke 8:44-45a; “Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.” NLT
The story in Luke 8:41-48; describes the healing of the woman who suffered from constant menstrual bleeding. And if there be a woman reading this article today with irregular or heavy menstrual flow; I decree over your life today that you will receive your healing now in Jesus Name. If you are reading this article and there is sickness of any form in your body, if you can believe in Him right now and release your faith, I decree over you that your healing is complete today, in Jesus Name.
In Luke 8:46, Jesus declared “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me” This means there are clear evidences when men touch God. We will explore some of those evidences today:
1) Reverence and Honour for God. In Luke 8:47; this woman having touched Jesus came trembling and falling before the feet of Jesus. This represent honor and worship to God. But it also represent her being broken before Jesus. when men truly encounter God, they will display a level of brokenness before Him. And it is believers that are broken before Him that He delights in (Psalm 51:17)
2) Divine Wisdom (Proverbs 9:4-5 & 10). When you touch God, eat of His bread and drink of the wine He mixes, you will know and experience the reverential fear of God. And experiencing the reverential fear of God releases wisdom from heaven in your life. People can clearly see by your choices, results in life and actions; that you are guided by God’s wisdom.
3) Liberty. In Luke 8:48a; Jesus said to her, “your faith has made you well.” By the declaration of Jesus, He gave this woman a miracle beyond healing. He gave her liberty. Wellness (wholeness) in life means liberty. When men touch God everything that is not of God must give way.
4) Peace. In Luke 8:48b; Jesus said to her “go in peace” This woman touched Jesus and one of the poweful results that she received that day is that Jesus sent her away with peace. According to John 14:27, it is the peace of God that keeps us from the negative effects of the vicissitudes of life. Money cannot buy peace, and as fantastic as having an education or career is, they do not buy peace. Only God gives true peace, therefore find peace with God and then the solution, the deliverance will come.
5) Power & Glory. Luke 8:46; “But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” When you truly touch God, He releases authentic power into your life and over your life that will transform your life. You now become empowered to transform communities and nation. When you touch God, you will see His power and glory displayed in your life and through your life. Make no mistake, God delights to give His power and strength to His people, and especially those that have paid the price to touch Him like the woman with the issue of blood did in Luke 8.
