Jabez is a man who experienced a cycle of disappointments in his life. Although in His case the cycle of disappointment he experienced in his life was linked to the strange name that his mother gave him. Jabez’s name, according to the footnotes in the NKJV version, literally meant “he will cause pain.” His name gave spiritual permission to the powers that instigate disappointment to affect him all his life. He had a life of pain and sorrow, until he got fed-up and cried to God in Prayer and God changed His story. (1st Chronicles 4:9-10). Today as you rise in prayer with holy anger against the powers brining perpetual disappointment in your life, The God of Elijah, The God that answers by fire will give you complete victory in Jesus Name.
