2. Standing Firm in Faith Demands Endurance

Jesus said in Mark 13:13b, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” NKJV

Likewise, Luke 21:19 states, “By your [patient] endurance [empowered by the Holy Spirit] you will gain your souls.” AMP

Even the endurance that we need in those trails of life is not by our power but by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit

From the time we pray in faith, the victory is already established in the spirit. But from the time we pray in until we see the physical manifestation of our victory is a time-interval. And that time-interval is called remaining in faith regardless of what you see or hear in the physical realm. What help you stay in faith, is the Holy-Spirit empowered endurance that you have to keep believing that what God is able to do what He said He will do

Key principle: Faith is tested over time. Your faith in Christ will be tested over time

Endurance separates genuine faith from shallow faith. Many begin the Christian journey with enthusiasm, but difficulties, persecutions, or disappointments cause some to draw back. Hebrews 10:35–36 reminds us, “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

When you hear from believers who give up on God, or stop coming to church because of the trials they are facing. They complain, “I prayed but God did not give me what I want. I fasted but God did not give me the answer I wanted.”

They forget a key principle and the progression in Hebrews 10:36

1) You must learn endurance (patience): which is keep believing even after you have prayed in faith. Keep believing even after you have confessed God’s words in faith. Keep believing in the integrity and power of God’s word even after you have fasted.

2) You must do the will of God: You cannot do your own will and expect heaven to bless it! This is the problem of some believers who leave the church or give up on God, they want to do their will and want God to bless them or bless it.

Even Jesus who was fully man and yet fully God, knew that the only way God will bless His mission here on earth was to do the will of the father.

John 6:38; “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” NKJV

3) You receive the promise: AMP would say “you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised” It is God’s will that in this life that you receive His blessings and also enjoy it to the full.

Dear reader, there are some people who who receive blessings but never get to enjoy it. They build a house but never live in it. They study and have a degree but never get to use it and enjoy its benefits. I pray for someone here under such demonic yoke, receive your deliverance now in Jesus Name. Amen

Sir’s and Ma’s, what is the criteria for you to receive and enjoy the blessings of God? Lets go back to our verse-You must do the will of God (Isaiah 1:19 teaches us that; if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land):

Key point: Obedience to God’s will is key

3. Standing Firm in Faith Resists Discouragement

Discouragement is one of the strongest weapons of the enemy.

When believers face prolonged trials, unanswered prayers, or unfulfilled desires, they may feel tempted to quit. They may believe the suggestion of the enemy and begin to say; “God has failed me. Where was God when I got fired from the job? Where was God when my spouse left me?” But the truth is God never fails

Zephaniah 3:5; “The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails” NKJV

This is my honest opinion; If things are chronically, persistently and repeatedly falling apart in your life, as a believer, first check out whether you have been obedient to God. Once you have ruled out disobedience to God or living in wilful sin. Then strongly consider the persistent adverse situation contending with you as a satanic attack or your failure to engage the mysteries of His kingdom that enforces your victory in Christ or both.

But no matter what you are facing, I want you to have this mindset and daily declare this over your life that “God never fails, and He will never fail over your life nor will His promises fail in your life, in Jesus Name”

Keep confessing it, to renew and rewire your mindset to align with God’s word and watch the divine change that will begin to manifest in your life. it may start slowly, but keep confessing it, because God will certainly bring it to full completion.

Hebrews 6:11–12 encourages us to stand firm in faith: “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Dear friend how do you access the blessings of God? “Through faith and patience!”

Sir/Ma how do you access that divine healing you are believing God for? Through faith and patience!

Dear reader, how do you access that divine lifting you are believing God for? Through faith and patience!

If you are in doubt and discouragement, will you receive the blessings of God? No!

This is a spiritual law: You inherit or receive God’s blessings by faith and patience (endurance):

And by patience I am referring to the spiritual stamina to keep believing till your change comes, the spiritual discipline to keep praying in faith until something happens, the spiritual discipline to keep thanking God in faith for the answers even when nothing has yet happened in the physical.

Standing firm in faith requires looking to biblical examples like Abraham, who “did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20).

Dear reader, regardless of your circumstances now, keep giving glory to God in faith for Who He is, His Character, His promises over your life, and watch how God brings your expected divine turn-around with power and glory.

Altar call: For anyone reading this article who is not saved and wants to be part of the family of God or you want to re-dedicate your life back to Jesus, please repeat this out loud. “Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my old ways and ask You to forgive me. Come into my heart, be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me live for You. Thank You for saving me, in Jesus Name. Amen

Prayer: Father, arise in Your mercy and grace, and fast-track my testimonies, in Jesus Name
