-(Recap) We know that God’s word is light and therefore it has capacity to emit light (light for illumination, light for revelation, light for power & deliverance in your life). We know also that how much output you have in life as a believer is closely related to how much of God’s word (His light) is unfolded in your life.
-For example the output from a 60-watt bulb is greater than a 40-watt bulb. It shines brighter. A 60-watt bulb will always emit more light than a 40 watt bulb at the same operational voltage (because it has less electrical resistance).
-In the same manner the results of many believers vary even though we serve the same God and believe in the same bible because we operate at different spiritual levels and hence command different results in the spiritual realm.
-But whether it is a 40watt bulb or 60-watt bulb there are certain intrinsic components which we don’t see that the bulb needs to have to make it light up.
-Look at the “b” part of Ps 119: 130; Their unfolding (of God’s word which brings light) gives understanding to the simple (childlike).
-Another principle is this that it is only those that are simple/child-like that the unfolding of God’s word will bring light to
So that is why the psalmist says the unfolded state of God’s word only happens to those that are simple (child-like).
-So, it’s your child-like state of mind and heart that activates the unfolding of God’s word in your mind & spirit.
– it’s your child like state that uses the spiritual energy of God’s word in your spirit and unfolds it with the help of the Holy-Spirit in you, so that God words lights up your life and everything that concerns you.
-it is only the simple, those with a child-like heart that can access all the benefits and mysteries of God’s word in Jesus.
– No wonder Jesus says in Matthew 18:3, that except you have the heart of a child you will not see the kingdom of God.
-Meaning that a child-like heart is needed to activate the mysteries of God’s kingdom in your life.
-A child like heart is needed to operate in the power of God’s word.
–A child like heart is the intrinsic component that you need to have as a believer for God’s
word to light up your life and destiny
-So quickly what are the various dimensions of a child-like heart that makes one able to access the power in God’s Light (which is His word).
- They are humble. (Matthew 18:4; Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.)
-it those that are humble at heart that can access the benefits of the light of God’s word. It is only those that are humble at heart that God’s word can light up.
-Let’s read 1 Peter 5:5; Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble”
God’s word cannot and will not work for those with a proud heart. It will not work for those with a proudful look or mindset.
-But God says He gives grace to the humble. My comforter says to me that grace also signifies results. He says to me that acronym grace also means God’s Results at Christ Expense.
So, the Holy Spirit, gives God’s results at Christ expense to the humble. So humility is key if you want to see results of God’s word in your life. Being humble at heart is key for God’s word to light up your life
2) Their mouth only speak of the strength and power of God. (Psalm 8:2; You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.) NLT.
-No matter how bad things are, a believer with a child-like heart will only speak of the possibilities of God because they know they are loading the spiritual cloud over them with their words, so they rather load the cloud over them with possibilities that God’s word will give them.
3) The mouth of those with a child-like heart only speak the strength and power of God’s word because they also have faith.
-it takes a man or woman with child-like heart to exercise faith in God when logically things seem impossible. Tell a child as a parent you will buy them something and they have complete faith in you that you will do what you say
Matthew 21:21; (Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.) NLT
-Jesus says this himself if you have faith and declare the strength of God’s word over anything, you will certainly see the power of God in that situation.
– Jesus is saying with faith in God’s word you can uproot demonic doors opposing your destiny and command it to be cast into the sea.
4)They are always hungry for God. They are always seeking God and His word.
(Matthew 11:25; At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth [I openly and joyfully acknowledge Your great wisdom], that You have hidden these things [these spiritual truths] from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants [to new believers, to those seeking God’s will and purpose]) AMP.
-Believers with the heart of a child that Jesus describes are people who are actively seeking God’s will and purpose. They are hungry for God and His word.
-Hunger for God and His word is the currency that propels a man to discover deep mysteries for God and His word.
-Food may be on the table but if you are not truly hungry you will not be motivated to eat it and even if you eat it, you will take only a small portion of the food and hence the energy derived from that portion of food to your body is only a fraction of what could have been yours if you had eaten the whole food.
-In the same manner if you are not truly hungry for His word, you will not have the desire to dig deep in His word and hence the level of benefit you will get from God’s word will be at the level your hunger & passion for God’s word.
-It is your hunger for God that drives you into new dimension of the power that is in God’s word.
In that same verse (b-part) we are told that “spiritual truths are revealed to infants” which means that the spirit of revelation about the mysteries of God’s word only come to those who are infants at heart.
-God will not reveal His mysteries to those who think they know it all or are full of the wisdom of this world and hence have no space for the illogical nature of God’s deep revelation. You see God’s mysteries does not always follow logic. Man may say to be blessed 1+1= 2. But God says to be blessed 1+1= 10,000!
-It does not make sense, so if you approach God’s word with your academic knowledge or sociological concepts, then you will not benefit from the deep mysteries of God’s word.
-Therefore it takes the heart of a child to enjoy spiritual truths from God’s word. (Please look out for part-3 of this article).
