I have often heard that when we enter the ember months of the year, the enemy is trying to balance his accounts as the year comes to an end. Human research might even back this up; The National Safety Council provides a chart of motor-vehicle fatalities by month in the United States. According to the chart, January and February generally experienced the fewest motor-vehicle fatalities, while July, August, or October experienced the most. This research can be used to support the assertion that the enemy tries to cause more havoc as the year comes to an end (sometimes called “the end of year evil”).
From my childhood in South-East England, I remember my mum telling me after going out for evangelism in a town in London, UK, that a British-White lady said to her in defiance to the gospel that “on the 21st of December the witches in that area of UK meet to pray against marriages and amongst other wicked things they do! Additionally in Europe many people in the month of December celebrate something called “Winter Solstice”. The winter solstice is a significant astronomical event that marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. It occurs when the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky, and it usually happens on December 21st for continents like Europe in the Northern Hemisphere. While the books will try and downplay any demonic connection by telling you that “winter solstice” is not always associated with occult practices but is a time of renewal, hope and reflection but there is no denying that winter solstice has been celebrated for thousands of years by various cultures, it is also associated with pagan and Wiccan traditions. Which till date are all deep necked in occultism.
Furthermore from my experience as a minister of God, it would seem that the 12 month is one month where the devil and his agents carry out more concerted attacks on people’s health, job, career, marriage, and other aspect of life.
Adar is the twelfth month of the religious year on the Hebrew calendar, roughly corresponding to the month of March in the Gregorian calendar (The Gregorian calendar is the calendar used in most parts of the world). The 12th month in the Gregorian calendar is called December. Regardless of the disparity in the Jewish and Gregorian calendar nomenclature of what the 12 month is called, we can still learn from the bible some deep mystery of the 12th month of the year.
So what does the bible have to say about the 12th month, and does God just allow the enemy run riot in the 12th month against His children?
- In the 12th month of the year God arises to release His children from every prison caging them
2 kings 25:27 Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison.
From this verse, we can perceive that God compelled the King of Babylon to release Jehoiachin from prison.
Prophetic decree for you: In the 12th month of this year, I decree prophetically you shall be released from every prison that the enemy has placed you in, in Jesus Name. I decree prophetically over your life that in the 12 month of this year every prison of adversity that circumstances of life has put you in, I decree that you are coming out it in Jesus Name.
Prayer: O God arise by fire and thunder and tear down every prison of darkness that the enemy has caged my life and destiny in the name of Jesus
- Powers of wickedness intensify their assault against people, including believers as the year ends.
Esther 3:7 In the first month, which is the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur (that is, the lot), before Haman to determine the day and the month, until it fell on the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.
Esther 3:13 And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions.
-The fact that the enemy seems to run riot in the 12th month is something God has already warned us about through His word, if we allow Him to open our eyes to His word. Haman and his associates by divination (casting of Pur) were to destroy all the Jews on the 12th month of the year. No wonder, it is commonly said by many preachers, that as the year winds down to an end the enemy intensifies his nefarious activities.
Prophetic decree: Any power assigned to sponsor and carry out evil against you and your loved ones this 12 months of the year, shall be destroyed by the fire and thunder of God in Jesus Name
Prayer: O God arise in your anger and crush to pieces every wickedness of the wicked assigned against me and my family, in Jesus Name
- God will overturn the wicked plots of the enemy against you, even if they rage against you as the year winds to an end.
Esther 9:1; Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king’s command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.
-Even as the enemy plots to cause havoc as the year comes to an end, God still has the final say and aways provides a way of escape and victory for His children. From our bible text, we can see that in the 12th month of the year, the enemies hope for the destruction of the Jews did not happen but rather the opposite occurred. So God not only disappointed the hope of their enemies but the destruction that was scheduled for the Jews now backfired on the head of their enemies.
Prophetic decree: Every power assigned to draw tears from your eyes, every power assigned to cause you pain and defeat this 12 month of the year shall be utterly and completely disgraced in the name of Jesus
Prayer:
- O God arise and disappoint the evil intended for me and my family this 12th month of the year, in Jesus Name
- Lord, let the destruction that my enemies intended for me this 12th month of the year back-fire upon their heads in Jesus Name
- God will still show you favour and bring you out of every demonic detention camp caging your destiny in Jesus Name
Jeremiah 52:31, Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.
On the 25th of the 12th month of that, two things happened to King Jehoiachin which you can claim prophetically;
- His head was lifted up. AMP version would say; “He was favoured”
Prophetic word: I decree over you, reading this article, in this 12th month, God will arise and cause you to experience favour with God and favour with man in Jesus Name. Shout hallelujah!
- The second thing that happened in that verse, he was brought out of prison. (but notice, he was shown favour first, without which he would have died in prison. Meaning that when God sends divine favour to His children, it triggers the deliverance of His children from satanic and ancestral prison that has caged the glory and star of His children)
Prayer:
- O God arise in this 12th month and bring me out of every prison of (captivity, sickness, poverty, mention what is specific in your life) in Jesus Name
- In this 12 month of the year, Father-in-Heaven let Your goodness and favour locate me in the name of Jesus
- God will release oil of revelation and deals with the Pharoah of our lives and destiny
Ezekiel 32:1; And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
In the 12th month, Ezekiel had spiritual illumination and revelation by God’s word. The oil of revelation was released upon him. I believe that the Holy-Spirit will rest upon you like tongues of fire and your spiritual life in Christ Jesus this 12th month of the year will be on fire, in Jesus Name.
Prayer: Father in this 12 month of the year, let me encounter you in the place of bible study, in the place of prayer and quiet meditation in Your presence, in Jesus Name
Also the word that came to Prophet Ezekiel in the 12th month, was in fact God’s determination to bring and end to the strong-man called Pharaoh, king of Egypt (Ezekiel 32:2-16).
Prophetic word: I decree over you if your faith can take it, that the Pharaoh that has been harassing your life relentlessly, you shall see them no more in the name of Jesus. God shall arise and bury all the Pharaoh of your life in the spiritual Red Sea in Jesus Name. They will never rise again to trouble you in the mighty name of Jesus.
Prayer: Father arise in your anger and blot out and cut down every Pharaoh troubling my life and destiny in Jesus Name.
