A wonderful & powerful prayer that Paul prayed for the early church in Rome is depicted in Romans 15:13; “I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit”.
Jesus also wants you to have joy that overflows, “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full” (John 15:11).
You get joy when you focus on Jesus alone and not the things around you. No matter how good things are, from having or wanting a good job to having or wanting a mansion as examples, they can never give you the spiritual dimension of joy that God wants you to have which is long-lasting and independent of the natural realm. I don’t know what has stolen you joy but as you pray this Holy-Spirit inspired prayers, you will not only get your joy in the Holy-ghost back, but your joy will over-flow.
Prayer-points
- Start by praising Him. Praise & worship him despite the pain, or difficulty.
- Lord if there be any sin in life, that has caused the Spirit of Joy to depart from me, have mercy forgive me by the blood of Jesus in Jesus name.
- I decree in the name of Jesus, Joy shall overflow in my heart in the name of Jesus.
- Powers contending with my joy, my life is not your candidate, be disgraced in the name of Jesus
- Arrows of depression, Arrows of frustration, Arrows of despondency fired into my life, I command you to jump out now and go back to your senders in the name of Jesus.
- I load my spiritual cloud around me with joy in the name of Jesus. Therefore, I command you fouls spirit of heaviness to depart from my life now in the name of Jesus.
- By the spirit of prophesy, I prophesy over myself, that all the days of my life, I will wear the garment of praise and joy that comes from heaven in the name of Jesus
- According to Ecclesiastes 9:7; God has approved of my works, therefore my heart will be cheerful with all that God has done and is yet to do in my life and family in the name of Jesus
- Any spirit killing joy in my marriage, I bind you and cast you out now in the name of Jesus
- Any spirit squeezing joy out of my destiny/career/finances, enough is enough! I bind and cast you out now in the name of Jesus
- Any altar that wants my life to be a life of misery, devoid of joy, I command those altars to destroyed now by the fire of the Holy-Ghost in Jesus Name
- Things don’t give me joy, only God Almighty does. Therefore my mind refuse to focus on things or problems but focus on God, the giver of unceasing and overflowing joy in Jesus Name.
- My passion & joy for the things of God that has been waning because of the vicissitudes of life and fortune, receive revival now by the fire of the Holy-Ghost in Jesus Name.
- Holy-Spirit, the Spirit of Joy blow over my life like a mighty rushing wind and let every facet of my life be ignited with the fire of joy in the name of Jesus.
- I decree joy in my marriage, joy in my finances, joy in the life of my children, joy in my career (add any other area of life that is devoid of the joy of God) in Jesus name
